HUID is a biotech start-up developing the next generation of sustainable packaging materials, with onion skins. Our 100% onion skin card, Pyber is scaling its way from lab to market, and we’re in an exciting time of working on our flexible bioactive film, Cellofil, that can help reduce food waste.

The HUID lab and office is based in Malin House, in the European Marine Science Park, Dunbeg.

The Role

HUID are looking for a enthusiastic Research Assistant to help with in-house R&D.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

• Conducting material testing

• Data collection and analysis and providing critical feedback on their results.

• Designing, performing and analysing their own experimental assays in conjunction with HUID’s R&D focus.

You will carry out lab work on-site at HUID, and will base their work on previous in-house trials. As HUID are a small team, you may be required to help with other research activities beyond lab work.

This placement is a part-time placement, with flexible hours depending on the demands of the experimental work and the candidate’s availability.
